The 20th Shanghai International Wine and Spirits Exhibition (SuperWine) was officially launched. The exhibition will be held from May 29th to 31st, 2019 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center – Shanghai·Hongqiao. The 3rd Global Wine China Appraisal System (CWE) will be held in the same period of the exhibition. The exhibition will be hosted by Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, Shanghai Wine Distribution Industry Association and Shanghai Gaodeng Commercial Exhibition Co., Ltd. It is supported by the WTO/TBT-SPS National Notification and Consultation Center of the People’s Republic of China, the Import and Export Food and Cosmetics Working Committee of China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, and the Wine and Fruit Wine Expert Committee of China Food Industry Association.
CWE is a wine appraisal system with Chinese characteristics created by China National Food Industry Association Wine and Wine Expert Committee based on years of research on Chinese wine consumers and Chinese consumers’ food culture characteristics, drinking habits and wine mix preferences. Currently the only wine scoring system. The goal of the system is to help consumers better understand wine and to help producers and importers better understand Chinese wine consumers and the Chinese market.
